Keep a version you can return to
Save the original prompt and note what you liked or want to fix. Without a stable reference, it is difficult to tell whether a new direction improved the brief.
Change one variable per iteration
Adjust the crop, light, material, or background separately. If several major details change together, you may not know which one helped.
Try this: rewrite the brief using details that a viewer could point to in the image.
Review against the intended use
A result that is attractive at full size may fail as a small thumbnail or leave no room for copy. Compare each version with the actual layout and audience.
Write down repeatable discoveries
If a description consistently creates the right kind of light or material, add it to your reusable notes. Share the prompt with context so another creator knows what it was designed to achieve.
